JUST ANNOUNCED! Smithfield to open for Craig Wayne Boyd!
Smithfield will take the stage with their tight haromnies at 7:30 PM and will set the tone for Craig Wayne Boyd at 8:00 PM.
SmithField was founded in 2011 with a dream as big as their home state of Texas. Comprised of vocalists Trey and Jennifer, SmithField took the stage by storm with their memorable music and stunning harmonies. Having grown up together, their on-stage chemistry is undeniably genuine and natural. After more than a year of performing together, the duo headed to Nashville to start a new chapter in their musical career.
Country duos are a unique breed in the music industry. Two voices have to blend perfectly together, and that combination is often hard to find, even in two great singers. Against all odds, the duo has continued to persevere with their music and develop their sound, and found that with a lot hard work and passion that anything can be accomplished. After one year in Nashville industry executives began to take notice and SmithField began to open for established artists including Eric Paslay, Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, Dustin Lynch and Craig Campbell.
Mixing the heavily rock influenced background of Trey and the classical country tendency of Jennifer, SmithField creates a contemporary country sound that's different and compelling. SmithField is set to make another splash this fall with their new single, "Good Ol' Days." The upbeat anthem is the perfect way to end summer and lead into their new EP being released this fall.
WINNER OF THE VOICE! Dynamic and charismatic, Craig Wayne Boyd’s sound is rooted in the southern tradition of country music and is topped with a rebellious flair. Growing up in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Mesquite, Boyd was born under the influence of gospel and country music. He first developed as a multi-instrumentalist at a very young age, and was later his church choir director and a touring musician with various national acts. After a trip to Nashville brought life-changing events his way, Boyd headed to Music City and signed a publishing deal with EMI shortly thereafter. After several years of prolific songwriting, Boyd turned to the road and toured constantly, logging more than 1,000 shows in four years, and opening for acts like Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser and Brantley Gilbert.
